Zoran R. Vulicevic, DDS, MSc, PhD
Zoran R. Vulicevic, BDS, MDS, PhD , a full time professor of Belgrade Faculty of Dentistry, graduated in 1986 and started his academic career in 1989 at the university of Belgrade, Serbia. Dr Vulicevic completed his Masters degree in 1991 with Master Theses on “Clinical and histopathological research of relationship of composite materials with dentine tissue” and in 1993 specialized in preventive and paedodontic dentistry. In 1994, Dr Vulicevic completed his PhD studies with theses “Research of relationship and strength of link between composites and dentine”. He is currently head of peadodontics at the University of Belgrade.
Since his first academic days, professor Vulicevic showed a particular interest in Aesthetic dentistry, an innovative , inspiring and fastest growing dentistry field, driven by patient’s demands. Driven by his constant desire to grow and increase his academic knowledge, he attended top rated courses in aesthetic dentistry in Sault Lake City, Hamburg, Geneva, Sienna, Lisbon, Valencia and many other European and American centres, where he had the opportunity to exchange experiences with leading world specialists in this area. His proven talent to creatively put in practice newly acquired knowledge as well as his strong desire to unselfishly share his knowledge with his colleagues were quickly noticed and resulted in many domestic and international lectures that Professor Vulicevic conducted over the years. He became a spoke person of newest and versatile techniques of contemporary aesthetic dentistry and successfully lead many workshops in this field. Though his intuitive communication style, he is able to portray current accomplishments of dentistry to his colleagues and new students enabling them to offer to their patients aesthetic treatments that are up to date with newest research and results. Due to the wealth of experience that Professor Vulicevic gained practicing with patients as well as his insightful knowledge of his colleagues’ needs and aspirations, he is well respected and very often engaged as professional consultant for a number of leading dentistry related companies. He published numerous professional and scientific articles in many domestic and international publications, mostly in the field of aesthetic dentistry.
His enormous enthusiasm and energy enabled him to organize a significant number of specialised workshops and congresses in order to provide an opportunity to his colleagues to learn from top domestic and international professionals. From 2003 to 2005, within preventive dentistry clinic for children at the University of Belgrade he lead a charity project that resulted in opening of new Centre for Dentistry for impaired children with the most advanced equipment for procedures done in total anaesthesia.
Since 1997 Professor Vulicevic is main consultant in practice “Excelsior” in Belgrade. During your first visit, professor Vulicevic will assess your needs and recommend best options in his signature friendly and comfortable conversation that he is valued for by his patients. A detailed dental examination will be done and therapeutic plan made according to the most current standards in dentistry.
Dentistry is a part of Professor Vulicevic’s family history. His grandfather, dr Jezdimira Jančića, was well known dentist who started his private practice in Belgrade before the Second World War. Professor Vulicevic is married to Tanja Vulicevic and proud father of Tijana and Vojin who continue to carry on the family tradition. Dr Tijana Vulicevic joined the Excelsior team in 2008, while Vojin started his academic development in 2009, at the university of Belgrade, Faculty of Dentistry. His free time professor Vulicevic dedicates to his friends and family. Very often he can be seen speed-boating, motor biking or skiing. He is an avid basketball fan.
