Laser therapy

Laser treatment is one of contemporary trends in dentistry and has been applied in dental practice “Excelsior-V” for several years. As a minimaly invasive treatment, it may replace some periodontal surgical procedures. Treatment is painless, as well as postoperative period, thanks to high intensity light that removes excess tissue and enables fast healing. Since vasoconstriction occurs during the treatment, the use of laser is not followed by bleeding; therefore, this method may be applied regardless of patient’s age. Diode laser has been widely used in gums modeling, crown lengthening, teeth length adjusting and treatment of muccogingival anomalies, especially in children. It can also be successfully used for desensitization of sensitive teeth, as well as the method of choice for implant uncovering and peri implantitis treatment. This method of treating oral soft tissues is simple and virtually painless and, as such, it is very well accepted by patients.
